Browncoats.com is calling for a
Blue Gloves Assault on Universal Studios, to call for another movie in the
Firefly/
Serenity 'verse. What they--the
Browncoats, that is--say they're looking for is a trilogy, that is, a second movie to form a trilogy with the original series and the first movie. whether a second movie would fill in all the holes, I don't know.
One mark of a successful
science speculative fiction franchise is that it gets people to speculating about the whys and the wherefores, not to mention what else is (or was) going on. Which leads to "fanfic", fan(-written) fiction. Which maddens some. Heck, even the "officially authorized", non-fanfic (IOW, commercially produced) spin-offs can be a problem. (
Star Trek has produced so much that it's hard to say what should be regarded as "canonical" anymore, especially since Roddenberry lost and regained interest in what was going on in the "Trek-verse" several times over time.)
Hmm, is it a coincidence that most, if not all, Wookie Suits
1 are brown coats
