Irene is gone, and most think it was greatly over-hyped--not the Vermonters dealing with flooding, I bet!--but this list is still pretty useful. If, like us, you live where the hazards are far less predictable than a hurricane, many of these things can be done in advance. Get in the habit of stockpiling some things, having others together where they can be easily inventoried and grabbed.
