Set Condition: White

Had occasion to run over to Fred Meyers' today.  (Note to Midwestern readers:  Despite similarity of names, this is NOT the same as Meijer's Shifty Takers Thrifty Acres.)

As I was checking out, I noticed a guard from one of the local armored car companies waiting at the end of the next register lane over.  He had a large satchel over his right shoulder, holding it shut with his right hand, and a cardboard box labeled "$100.00 NICKELS" he was balancing on his left shoulder with his left hand.

Maybe he thought his Glock (left-hand carry, looked like a SERPA holster)  would draw and shoot itself if someone decided to take him down?

Wow, not guarding - maybe his company has a no-gun-shootin' policy?

If Armored Car Corporation spent the money for training and qualification for to get him an Armed Guard license (required under WA State Law) I'm pretty sure they expect better.

To or three months ago, Danielle and I were in the local Old Navy when I noticed an armored car employee (one of the vanishingly few Jerseyans licensed to carry a handgun) carrying a sack of money through the store visibly armed... but with her over sized janitor-keyring looped over her SIG.

Honestly, can any gun-control advocate keep a straight face while arguing that somebody who treats a gun like a keyring-suspender is better qualified to carry a gun than the two of us are?
