Ham classes in Western Washington

FREE Ham Basics Conference

– 19 November 2011, 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Location: LDS building at 9729 NE 50th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98665 (north and west of Costco near I-205).
Classes will include: Antenna theory, Logging your contacts, Basic test equipment,
Contesting & Portable operation, Portable power, DC Electricity, Propagation, Emergency communication/ARES, Public Service, First Station, GPS and Ham Radio and much more.

Federal Way Club Sponsors D-Star Class
The next D-STAR Workshop is this Saturday November 5th from 8am to 5pm at the Federal Way Community Center.
With many informative speakers and programs, lunch, Q&A, and door prizes, the workshop will touch on all aspects of the D-STAR digital radio technology, with topics ranging from DV Dongles, DVAPs, and D-RATS, to repeaters & reflectors. Bring your D-STAR radios and laptops (with power cords and extension cord if you have one) to take full advantage of all of the instruction available.
The cost of the workshop is $35 per person when registered prior to November 3rd.
After November 3rd & at the door, the cost is $45.
The workshop is limited to 100 attendees.
