Meanwhile, back at Snowpocalypse 2012...

Been snowing since sometime around OMG-thirty, Mrs. Drang braved the approaching glaciers and went to work.  Got lonely, and is on her way home now, too bad bus drivers will just blow by people running towards them waving and shouting...
Pics from Neue Schloss Drang:
The Drangmobile was completely snow-free when I got back from wherever I went yesterday.

Today was supposed to be trash day...

I don't think any birdies are going to bathing or drinking from this bath for a few days...

A souvenir from Mrs. Drang's father's Naval service?  I never asked...
This is my glass/metal recycle container. Note how much snow piled up on the lid after I put it out last night.  Note the depression in the snow from where I removed my paper/cardboard recycle bin.

Hood of the Drangmobile. Not sure, but I think you can see the crustyness of the sleet on top of the snow...

Neue Schloss Drang has an L-shaped floor plan.  This is the East-facing wall and roof...

...and this is the South-facing wall and roof.

The driveway has enough snow on it that, for the first time in years, I am feeling a twinge of guilt for not shoveling immediately.  Thing is, it's supposed to continue snowing for a day or more, then warm up and turn to rain.  So, I dunno, do I take council of my aching back, or of my deep-seated Protestant Work Ethic...?

Wait, what? As I understand you, you are what passes for 'snowed in' in your area, you have the wife at home with you, you have adequate food, water, and intoxicating potables, you have all this and you actually consider shoveling the walkways and driveway?

Why? If you do that someone might come to visit. Don't take the chance.

Heh.
Well, not really snowed in, at least, not as we would have understood it back in Michigan.
