"It's a cookbook!"

So, in the run-up to Facespace's IPO, one of the zillionaires--who, if the reports I saw are correct, was not born here, and does not reside here--renounced his US citizenship. Thus, by becoming a non-citizen, as a permanent resident of Singapore, he gets to not pay his "fair share" of capital gains tax on the money he stands to make from social media.

Ergo, and right on cue: Senators to Unveil the ‘Ex-Patriot Act’ to Respond to Facebook’s Saverin’s Tax ‘Scheme’ - ABC News

Chuckles Schumer is one of the pair, natch.

Hayek on a crutch, people, as Professor Reynolds keeps saying, Atlas Shrugged was a warning, not a How-To Manual!

Coming soon, to a History Channel near you, "Ayn Rand, Prophet of Doom!"

'Cuz she's sounding more and more like a really really verbose Nostradamus every day...

h/t Tamara.

if you skip the the "God Like Qualities" of John Gault, it's just pretty damn scary how good she was at predicting things.

If you haven't seen the movie - Part I, I liked it - looking forward to Part II. It's been nicely updated and they used a nice twist to make trains relevant again.
