Embassy Security Device

Been around for centuries.
Flame fougasse
Mostly an improvised item, but there are/were fixed flamethrowers used in fortifications and defensive installations that are considered to be a form of fougasse.  This one is German, WWII:

Fougasse Flame Throwers, Intelligence Bulletin, November 1944 (Lone Sentry) Note that the Russkies had them, too.

From a discussion at the Rendezvous, a transformer about to undergo a blow-out would spit fire AND boiling oil - that'd be way-kewl!
