WA State mulls by-the-mile road tax

Poll there, not looking good as far as the voters are concerned.  Not that Olympia cares all that much...

You can vote "No". In fact, 80% of respondents have done so.

I'll take your word for it. The "no" option doesn't appear in my browser:

Could be the percentage of no votes would a lot higher if everyone could see it.

we already pay for roads 'by-the-mile, every time we buy a tank of gas. Higher mileage cars get to pay less for mile of road traveled than the "Dodge EarthLovers" SUV's Do. This would be a [gasp] double tax.
