Legislative Update from Olympia 25 March 2016

  • GOVERNOR STILL NOT SIGNING BILLS
  • NO BUDGET DEAL GOING INTO THIRD WEEK

Governor Inslee had a bill signing ceremony scheduled for today, Friday.  Of 25 bills on the list, the governor signed 16 into law and vetoed nine.  The governor has 20 days from the end of the session, excluding Sundays, to take action on bills passed during the session.  None of the four bills we are following were on the current list.

The third week of the 30-day special session began yesterday.  Still no budget agreement.  Next attempt, next Monday (day 19 of the special session).
