Legislative
Update from Olympia 4 March 2016
- SECOND CHAMBER CUT-OFF PASSES
- ONE WEEK LEFT IN SESSION
- SPECIAL SESSION POSSIBILITY
The 2016 regular
session comes to an end next Thursday, March 10th. The bills that were sent back for concurrence
must be voted on by the Senate or House before being sent to the governor. Bills can still die as the clock runs out.
The principal focus
of the second (short) session of the biennium is passage of the supplemental
budget. If that fails to pass in the
coming week, a special session will be called.
