Unconstitutional

Abso-fraggin'-lutely.

Nowhere in the Constitution does it even hint at the President dictating terms to corporations.

Anyone who doubts that His Imperial Majesty Barack Hussein Obama's goal is to mire this nation in Euro-weenie style socialist "planning" need only read the headlines.

Here's one, from the LA TIMES:
Obama takes step over the line that separates government from private industry
His automaker bailout plan wades into 'industrial policy,' in which government officials, not business executives or the free market, decide what products a firm makes and how it charts its future.
The president has no business "forcing" the CEO of any business* to resign. Obama administration forces out General Motors' chief GM CEO forced out as US readies more auto aid

The government has no business "backing up" car maker warranties. (US Government Will Guarantee Chrysler and GM Warranties)

The argument can be made that the government had no business "bailing out" the financial industry, either. Both of my regular readers will recall that "I was against the credit-industry bailout before I was for it", to mis-quote somebody-or-other; that I became convinced that government action in the form of loan guarantees and changes in regulatory oversight were necessary to ensure that the commercial credit system did not collapse. That was because so much of what we eat comes from small businesses that need crucial operating loans between (for example) seed time and harvest. If Farmer Frank can't get a loan to pay for seed, fertilizer, herbicide, etc., to be paid off after the harvest, we all starve.

What has that got to do with Barack Hussein Obama dictating terms to the auto industry?

What does Barack Hussein Obama know about industry?

Or, for that matter, about physical labor?

Barack Obama has never had a job.

Not one.

Oh, yeah, he got paid, but he has never had a real job. The closest he came to working for a for-profit entity was being on the payroll of a Chicago legal firm--although I have to admit that being a politician in Illinois could be considered a for-profit activity...

And now he's going to use the White House as his "Bully Pulpit"** to cram socialism down our throats.

Tax Day Tea Party, April 15th: I'll be there, will you? (Updated List of WA State Tea Parties!)

Will you stand up for something, or will you stand for anything?

*Any non-governmental corporation. The Post Office, etc., that are pseudo-governmental entities, maybe.

**I use to have a lot of respect for Theodore Roosevelt, but a little study convinced me that he was the one who first let the populist/progressive/liberal camel's nose into the tent.
