Good work, if you can manage it...

So, all week here in Long Beach Mrs. Drang and I have been driving by the local wine shop, which has been closed. "Tastings on Saturdays." Great, we're going home Saturday, not doing a wine tasting before driving the thousands dozens of miles between here and there...

Until this afternoon, we're driving down the main drag and I realize that the sign in the window of Peninsula Wine Merchants says "Open." Oh, well, what the hell...

And the representative of Knipprath Cellars was there, pouring, an (apparently) unscheduled tasting!

Ah, Knipprath Cellars! Chocolate Port! Vanilla Port! White Port! Gluhwine! Sangria!

So, we blew the budget on wine--we haven't actually done that for quite a while. (Don't tell our financial adviser, OK?) Also on sausage and wine wafers, and some nice cookbooks...

OTOH, we now know what we want to do to support ourselves in our retirement; the only question is, will Long Beach WA be able to support two wine shoppes...?

If this works out, although I know I'm a bit old, will you and Mrs. D. adopt me?
