Overheard on Instant Messenger.

(Mrs. Drang's company uses Instant Messenger in the office to communicate instead of everyone getting on the inter-office phone system. With only 5 people, but spread out in the building, it works. So we use it to chat when we can.)

Mrs. Drang: "...we are being warned by {King County Metro Transit} of 'up to 1 hr delays' on Thursday afternoon for the upcoming 'annual' (?) immigration march... and here I thought Cinco de Mayo meant the 5th, silly me."

D.W. Drang: They're protesting against the tyranny of the Gregorian Calendar...

Note to activists: Annoying the people you are trying to convince is counter-productive. Illegally blocking traffic on the interstate is not only annoying, but dangerous.
