Aftermath

Went through and edited my 1776/Multi-Media post, as I seem to have screwed up all of the U Toob links.

That night, after dinner, I went to get our DVD of 1776 to watch, and... broke the thing getting it of the case! Not sure how--must have been a +3 DVD Case Of Holding...

Fortunately, TCM was running 1776 that night, the Full, Restored Director's Cut, so we got to sing the songs to each other anyway.

Tottered off to bed way after my bedtime, tried (with little success) to sleep with two fans running in the bedroom, and some jackasses were still setting off firecrackers in our neighborhood when I got up to go to work at 0230! I appreciate a good fireworks display as much as the next bitter proud American, but frankly, I don't trust everyone in my neighborhood not to set said neighborhood, or at least my part of it, on fire. Not to mention they never police up their brass expended bottle rockets and such.

Oddly enough, while the cats were not happy about the noise, they seemed equally (or more) upset about being kept inside.
