The Good, The Bad, The... Weird.

So, looking at my various "Today in History" feeds, I see that today we celebrate Admiral Hopper finding the first computer bug (1945).

That's the weird.

Also today, in 1948 "Great Leader" Kim Il Sung established what he was pleased to call the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. There is no evidence that he had any sense of irony whatsoever.

On the upside, and speaking of totalitarian Marxist-Leninist dictators, on this date in 1976 Chairman Mao kicked the bucket and went to whatever award awaits mass-murdering despots.
