Earworms

Mentioned a while back that we got satellite TV a year or so ago.

Like a lot of people I will sometimes turn on the TV when I am in the house alone--with Mrs. Drang and my "dueling work schedules", this is frequent--and a few months ago I discovered that the satellite TV programming includes XM Satellite Radio channels. My favorite turns out to be their "40's on 4" channels. (Station 801 on our programming.) It's swing and Big Band from about 1935 through about 1955 or so.

So for the last week or so y internal soundtrack has been Glen Miller's "St, Louis Blues March" alternating with Tommy Dorsey's "Getting Sentimental Over You."

Nostalgia over a war seems silly, to say the least, but there are certainly aspects of the era we can all miss...
