Wish I was Home For Christmas

In case you don't know, the song's title is actually Stop The Cavalry. But the video below is entitled Wish I Was Home For Christmas, and I think it is more apropos.

There are dozens of videos on YouTube to this song; I like this one the best. Gotta love the troops having a good time under less than ideal conditions!

For some reason, this song--specifically the version by "The Cory Band With The Gwalia Singers"--is a Christmas staple in the Seattle area. (The Wikipedia article I linked to above says it is very popular all over.) Unavailable for years, an anonymous local music lover one year paid to have a bunch of CDs burned. (Many assume that it was Paul Allen, but there are other suspects, it' not like there are no other music lovers with money around here. Gary Larsen of Far Side fame, for one.) Says here it is still available, at local CD/DVD store Silver Platters.

Up until that point, the only source for it was a Doctor Demento Christmas compilation...
