Note that:
- I got the link to Open Congress' "Firearms Bills" page from The Firing Line's "Library" section.
- When I clicked on "Firearms" on Open Congress' Issues page, it returned... nothing. Trying again returned only about half the bills above. Not sure why...
- Apparently, NONE of these bills have seen any "action" since being introduced.
- Google Docs table function sucks... Oh, I'm sorry, did I say that out loud? (OK, so I'm used to Microsoft Word tables, and I never actually tried to import a table before...)
- I'd like to think that bills with few or no co-sponsors have little chance of getting anywhere, cf. HR45, above.
- I have mixed feelings about HR197, as it may violate states' rights. I would sure like to be able to carry in Chicago or New York City or DC on my WA Concealed Pistol License, but i also object to the idea of the Federal government forcing the issue. With 127 co-sponsors, this one might have a chance anyway...
