Communications...

Speaking of Congressional Town Halls and the fury that they have been eliciting of late, you would think that, after eight years and counting of excoriating George W. Bush as being an ignernt redneck simply because he is not as articulate or inspiring a speaker as Ronald Reagan or Charlton Heston, you would think the O-Bots would make more of an effort.

For instance, when folks started howling about how HR3200, ObamaCare, required the elderly to receive counselling every five years on How To Pull Their Own Plug, President Smartest Man In The World should have gone on the air and said "Damnit, Nancy, I told you dolts in Congress to call it 'Late Life Counselling', or 'Elderly Lifestyle Counseling', but would you listen? Nooooooo..."

When setting up a hot line to answer questions about Obamacare, would it be so hard to say "If you're confused by conflicting messages, or have questions about Socialized Medicine Health Care Reform in the glorious peoples' paradise to come, just drop us a line at xxx"?

Again, nooooo! "I know! Instead of being straightforward, let's phrase it ambiguously so it sounds like we're compiling an enemies list! Then we can call the people who misunderstand names! Won't that be fun!"

When angry constituents show yup at a Town Hall Meeting to confront you about your failure to represent them in the manner they feel the deserve,
  • Don't accuse them of being an unruly, disruptive mob
  • Don't accuse them of being agents provocateurs--"Too well dressed to be my constituents?" Really?
  • Don't whinge about how some people can't engage in a rational discussion, especially while you plan to exclude anyone who disagrees with you from any future "discussion."
Keep in mind, those people, those voters, those constituents, voted for you, and you work for them!

After eight years and counting of portraying George W. Bush as Hitler, as the Joker from Batman, as a chimpanzee, as a naive child under the Machiavellian influence of the Evil Dick Cheney, spazzing out every time someone aims a similar slur at The Messiah just makes you look petty.

In fact, considering the way that George W. Bush ignored all the crap you aimed his way, "petty" doesn't do it justice.
