- Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president.
- To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, right or wrong - is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.
- When they call the roll in the Senate, the Senators do not know whether to answer 'Present' or 'Not guilty.'
