According to Breitbart's Big Government, the Democratic National Committee says the economy is improving, the stimulus is working, Obama is Our Savior, etc.
Unfortunately, Boeing, AKA "The Lazy B", just sent out 1000 more layoff notices. 500 here in the Puget Sound region, 300 in California, and the rest "elsewhere."
They keep trying to get me to try that kool-aid, but it just looks so... revolting.

I've got a family member in your state that lost his job of 20 plus years. Everyone over 50 was let go in the factory job where he had a pretty skilled position. I'm making his house payment as there's just a year or two left on the mortgage, no point in losing it now. It's worse that they let on.
Overseas it's worse. A friend who is a neurosurgeon, went to a conference in Germany. At his 200 plus room hotel he was the ONLY guest.
In the UK, place where I stayed at, a business hotel recently, they didn't do the breakfast buffet as there were not enough guests and cooked and served me a nice breakfast in a room that was huge, and vacant.
The dollars not worth squat over there, as I found out on a recent vacation. No wonder tourism is down.
