Borepatch writes about 'em, assisted by Ambulance Driver and Jay G. Oddly enough, Taxachussetts is regarded by the Brady Bunch Bullies as having lax gun laws.
Nevertheless, Borepatch was almost a felon because a bit of expended brass got caught in the tread of his boot while he was on the firing line, and Taxachussetts' State law outlaws the possession of any ammunition components by those not in possession of a state Firearms ID (FID) or License to Carry (LTC).
This probably makes sense to those totally ignernt of guns. Unloaded brass is just brass. Unloaded bullets are just lead and copper (or other materials, but nevermind.) Unloaded primers are marginally hazardous, as is gun powder, especially in bulk amounts--but smokeless powder isn't explosive, it burns. (Like a journalist exposed to the truth, but nevermind...)
And note that what Borepatch almost took home accidentally was a bit of .22 Long Rifle brass--totally unreloadable. Pretty much unusable for anything but maybe some kind of odd craft art. (Hey, there's an idea! Help your kids drive their elementary school teachers batshit, have them take in a mosaic made of expended brass for Show 'n' Tell...)
Again, though, the bullies of the Brady Bunch think Taxachussetts has lax gun laws.
Sheesh.
Joe has more.
h/t to Roberta, who points out further nonsense and idiocy committed by the Brady Bullies; question is, are they wrong because they are stupid, or because they want people to fall afoul of the law...?

Thanks for the link. I think it's this sort of thing that has cut the number of gun permits in the Commonwealth by over 50% in ten years.
Sigh. I can't wait for the kids to graduate high school. When you notice a huge cloud of dust way up north(east), you'll know it's me, moving back to the USA ...
