On this day in history...

...a bunch of stinkin' Lobsterbacks murdered several peace-loving, law-abiding citizens going about their business in Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony, on March 5,1770.

At the same time, a group of innocent soldiers of the British Army were forced to defend themselves from a murderous, riotous mob.

The two events were, of course, the same.  It all depends on whether you go by Paul Revere and Sam Adams' propaganda, or John Adams' successful legal defense.
