The New York Times reports that Fess Parker has died.
Just the other night we watched "THEM" on cable; had forgotten that Fess played the part of the Texan pilot who first reported the "ant-shaped flying saucers."
After he stopped acting, he made a pretty good living making wine. In fact, it was a Fess Parker Vigonier that got Mrs. Dang and I into wine in a big way. We visited the winery, staying at Fess Parker's Wine Country Inn, a few years back.
We have lost an American Icon, and he will be missed.
Our thoughts go out to his family.
