Tax Day Tea Party 04/15/2010

Was just checking out the Washington Patriot Hub website, a new operation to me.  Looks like sort of a clearing house, if you will, for Tea Party-type organizations.  They list several Tax Day Tea Party events:

THE MAIN EVENT

Olympia-based groups & Seattle groups have decided to combine and host a Tax Day "Tea for Two" Party.

The first half is scheduled for Olympia from 12 pm - 3 pm, on the North Capitol Steps. Then people are encouraged to form a caravan to Seattle for 2nd half from 5:30.

The participating groups are EFF, Seattle Sons & Daughters of Liberty, Pierce County Tea Party, South Sound Tea Party, & Tea Party Patriots and the Sons Of Liberty Riders.

 The Sons Of Liberty Riders will perform the opening flag ceremony and will lead the caravan from Olympia to Westlake Mall in downtown Seattle for the 5:30 rally there.

4/15/2010 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Tri-Cities Tea Party Rally on Tax Day

RICHLAND
Join the Tri-Cities Tea Party with their Tax Day Tea Party, again this year in John Dam Plaza in Richland, from 4 pm to 7 pm! This is the year we change the face of Congress and our state's legislature and what better day to have the "kick-off" than the Tax Day, April 15th! We want everybody to show up with their signs but this year, our speakers will be telling us ways we can be more effective in the Fall so the changes we want will be reflected in success!

We're working on further details/times and we'll get them posted ASAP. There is actually seating this time for 200-300 people and also an area for wheelchairs. Bring a blanket for grass seating and always have your umbrella. This will be an extended lunch hour event and there will be a march for those wanting to join in.

So start getting those signs ready because it's looking like we are going to have more reason than ever to be protesting taxes this year.

Will have to see what Mrs. Drang and I can work out.  My have to take a day off, but then I could do both Olympia and Seattle, and Mrs. Drang could join me downtown after she gets off of work.
