So why...

... all the bloggage about Senator Ted Stevens dying in a plane crash, but not about Dan Rostenkowski croaking at his summer home in Cheeseheadland?

Stevens was good on gun rights, and, among other things, helped craft some legislation that went far to preserving the viability of Alaskan/North Pacific fisheries.  Aside from all the pork and earmarks--disagreeable, I admit--he did good stuff.  And was never convicted.

As opposed to "Rottenkowski", so dishonest that even Chicago voters drew the line at re-electing him, albeit it took a conviction to give them that conviction, so to speak. He was a convicted felon who had a summer home, fer cryin' out loud!
