Return of A Farewell to Warm

Instapundit links to a report at physorg.com entitled Sunspots could soon disappear for decades: study
Sunspot formation is triggered by a magnetic field, which scientists say is steadily declining. They predict that by 2016 there may be no remaining sunspots, and the sun may stay spotless for several decades. The last time the sunspots disappeared altogether was in the 17th and 18th century, and coincided with a lengthy cool period on the planet known as the Little Ice Age.
Hopefully, Ringo was wrong...

When I was a kid, the scientists predicted a new ice age. Then they predicted the end of life because of a hole in the ozone layer. Then it was global warming and we'd all drown when the ice caps melted. Now it's another ice age.

I think part of the reason so many refused to take glow-bull warmening seriously was because we remembered the new ice age, and the ozone hole...
