Too bad you bought into all that progressive BS. I'm sure you had the best intentions, but you know what road is said to be paved with those. I'd like to think that, with 100 years of hindsight like we have, you'd act differently, but plenty of folks still go back for seconds and thirds of the kool-ade, so maybe I'm just going easy on a war hero.
