Or, Cui Bono?
Things are looking more and more like George Zimmerman may, in fact, have been justified in using deadly force to defend himself from Trayvon Martin. He may well have committed an error in judgment or two, but it doesn't seem as if any of them called for a football player sitting on his chest and trying to bash his skull in on the pavement. This stuff when down on February 26th, and I don't remember hearing anything about the evil white knuckle-dragging Tea Party militia nut--who is actually a registered Democrat and Hispanic--murdering the poor African-American saint--who was suspended from high school, possibly for drugs, and had a rather ghetto, gangsta way about the Twitterverse--until about three weeks later?
Do I need to renew my tinfoil hat, or does this seem odd to anyone else?
Y'know, those of us who are affectionately referred to by the Leftosphere as "gun nuts" often note that some tragedy will occur just in time for significant legislation to be considered...

I think that public opinion and interest has given the media the chance to go ahead and try this case themselves. It took a while to get the ball rolling.
They need a MediaBlitz distraction from Obama's record, his consorting with Putin, and the ObamaCare fiasco?
And Fast and Furious. And to discourage "National Reciprocity." And the economy in general, gas prices in particular.
