Politics | McKenna has brief opening to raise funds | Seattle Times Newspaper

Because the Democrat-controlled state legislature failed to produce a budget--gee, who ever heard of such a thing?--Democrat Governor Gregoire called a special session for them to do their job.  In the interval between the closing of the regular session, and the start of the special session, Rob McKenna can raise money again.  As the article linked above points out, since he is the state Attorney General, he cannot raise money during the session, but his opponent, Democrat congresscritter Jay Inslee, is under no such restrictions.
