Liberty Ridge students win disaster contest | Education News - The News Tribune
Two students at Liberty Ridge Elementary in Sumner recently were awarded $500 for their school’s disaster-preparedness efforts.While I think it's cool that they won, I think it's even cooler that PSE would sponsor such a contest.
They took part in a disasters and catastrophes preparedness competition sponsored by Puget Sound Energy. The contest theme, “What to do to make it through,” was based on a new public education campaign developed by emergency management agencies across the region.
I just wish they'd reported on what the contest was, and what they did to win it...
...Apparently, the contest was for drawing a poster.
