1.) What was the first song you ever bought?1. Um. Don't remember. Something by Herb Alpert or Maynard Ferguson, probably, back when I knew how to play the trumpet. (Yes, I was a plumbing man.)
2.) What song always gets you dancing?
3.) What song takes you back to your childhood?
4.) What is your perfect love song?
5.) What song would you want at your funeral?
6.) Time for an encore. One last song that makes you, you.
2. I blogged this a while ago, Santana's Smooth. What can I say?
3. Um. None, really. Well, OK, "On Top of Spaghetti."
4. Unchained Melody. And the Nat and Natalie version of Unforgettable. Actually, until I met Mrs. Drang, I never really had an "Our song."
5. My way.
6. My way.
3 comments:
1. Bought? Not sure. Styx's "Grand Illusion" album, I think.
2. I don't dance. Everyone's safer that way.
3. I try not to revisit my childhood.
4. Corny I know, but probably Benatar's "We Belong", although "Love Is A Battlefield" is much more realistic.
5. Fish's "No High Ground".
6. Moi? See #5. Then again, there's always "Suicide Is Painless" (old MASH theme song; lyrics never included in the TV series for some reason).
a) I know the lyrics to Suicide is painless, and
b) I actually thought about No High Ground, but, at least this week, My Way wins.
This week.
All the lyrics I remember for On Top of Spaghetti (and Casey Jones) are un-printable! We did terrible things to lyrics...
