"...far away from us."
One of my favorite lines from Fiddler on the Roof. Which we were going to see with Topol reprising his role as Tevye, but they canceled. And anyway, this is about something else.
DirtCrashr has a nifty little post on the etymology of the word "czar" here. (I thought everyone knew that "czar/tsar" and "kaiser" were both derived from "caeser." Which means "curlylocks", btw.)
Meanwhile Glenn Beck, whom I don't normally read, has a list of the czars, their official titles, their pay (where known), and significant facts. (Although he missed the fact that while anti-self-defense Gil Kerlikowske, now drug czar, was the Chief of Police in Seattle and working against the right of us proletarians to bear arms, his city-issued Glock was stolen out of his city-issued car while he was shopping.)
Mr. Beck's list is from August 21, so it still lists commie/truther/hater Van "Under The Bus" Jones as "Green Jobs Czar." Mr. Back, of course, is getting the credit from the libtards for Jones' resignation, since the mainstream media--which I saw referred to the other day as "lamestream"--didn't report on the issue at all until it became a fait accompli, ignoring the whole "Republicans are @$$holes", signing "Bush set 9/22 up to give him an excuse to invade Iraq"/truther petitions, becoming a communist, hate-filled rapping to support cop-murderers thing. As has been observed, the average person who just gets their news from legacy media, especially if you don't regard Fox News to be legacy media, will have woken up to wonder what happened.
Don't know how many people just get their news from the NY Slimes, Washington Compost, et. al. anymore...

Quit reading the San Jose Mercury News years ago when the curtain was torn away to reveal they were little more than orthodox repeaters of the AP And NYT.
But beyond that, since all these Czars are simply un-vetted political appointees commissioned by Obama (which may possibly violat the limits of Exectutive Powers), they really are Obama's Commissars...
