The New York Times Completely Misses The Point

Again.

"Tea Party Avoids Divisive Social Issues"?  O rlly? How about "Gray Lady Needs A Clue?"

Look you journalistic nitwits--but I repeat myself--slaving away, hoping you don't get laid off while the board members help themselves to millions in bonuses, the Tea Party movement is
  1. A true Grass Roots movement, that
  2. Is goal oriented
  3. The goals are governmental fiscal responsibility and small government
Yeah, it is full of people with other axes to grind, especially when politicians start jumping aboard the train.  But the whole point is that government is spending money we don't have.

Stop fixating on the GOP and "conservatives".  And get over this obsession with "the leaders of the movement", there are none.  Organizers, yes, but no one is giving orders or issuing directions.  The most we get is "Hey, everybody, let's all protest Obamacare in DC on the 16th!"  And they show up. Without having their boss or their labor union pay to bus them in.

I know that's scary, but not as much as the fact that they are non-violent, AND they cleanup after themselves.  Oooh, mature, responsible adults.  What are we gonna do...?
