Not only does the loony left think that a mosque should be built two blocks from Ground Zero, to the point that Nancy Botox wants those opposed--as many as 60% of Americans, according to US News--investigated, but now, we learn that a Greek Orthodox church ON the Ground Zero site, which was destroyed by the Islamofascist terrorists on 9/11/2001, will not be rebuilt.
To be precise, da' Port Aut'ority o' Noo Yawk an' Noo Joisey won't let them rebuild on the original site, which will become a screening checkpoint, and they can't have the location where they thought they had an agreement to rebuild.
I don't care one way or the other about yet another mosque in New York, although the Mad Mullah in charge was full of "America created bin laden" and similar crap, and I admit to a tendency to opposing anything the loony left, led by His Imperial Majesty and Botox Nancy supports. (Gotta hand it to Harry Reid, he recognizes a losing position in an election year...)
But, really? Anyone who opposes the new mosque is Naughty, but the old church can't be re-built?
Added: Heh. Today's Day by Day, which I saw right after I hit "Publish Post."
Bunch more on this at Gateway Pundit, including first article I saw about St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.

For what it's worth, I have no problem with Muslims building at the site, and _also_ think that government seizing the Christians' property is infuriatingly unacceptable (made all the worse for being in the interest of Homeland Security Theater).
