glurg

For most of the last ten years or so I have been working the evening shift; I get got up at 9 or 10 AM and get got home from work 'round Midnight.

Now I'm working the "You have to be kidding me!" early shift; I get up at about the time I used to go to bed, and get home in time to send Mrs. Drang instant messages for an hour or so before she leaves her desk. Technically, we have more time together this way, since she gets home while I am still up, but it's only just, as she's usually home about 6PM and I usually go to bed about 7 or 8 PM.

Another thing I dislike about this shift:  It serves as a fresh reminder, if I needed one--and I guess I did--of just how far north Seattle is. These days, it is not light until 730-8 AM, and is getting dark by 5 PM.

While I can't say that I leave in the dark and come home in the dark, that's an awful short period of daylight.

(Being Seattle, "sunlight" is too much to hope for...)

DW - have a wonderful Christmas. If you are ever in the Poulsbo area and run into a 6 foot 2 guy with red hair, in a ponytail, who looks like a Viking, that's my big brother.

He took Dad on over to the coast, as Dad didn't want to have Christmas and didn't want to be in the home, so missing his wife.

Big hug

Thank you, ma'am. Haven't been over that way for a while, but we're talking about a long weekend once we get "mostly" settled in here...

Merry Christmas to you and Barkley!
