More Town Hall Meeting news! UPDATED

First, Rick Larsen's Town Hall for Wednesday has moved from the fourth floor of the Everett Train Station (?) the the Everett Aquasox Stadium (Class A Baseball).

This from both Sound Politics and from Liberty Belle.

I'll quote LB here:

Rick Larsen's Town Hall

Update: The Democrats are planning a rally outside the venue at 3:00 p.m. so you know they will be there way before that. If you can go, please go early!

It's in, from Rick Larsen's office:

Town Hall Meeting on Health Care Reform Hosted by U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen
Wednesday, August 12 5:00 PM PT Aquasox Ballpark at Everett Memorial Stadium
Everett, WA
Also from Sound Politics:
WA Senators Both to Attend Stealth Event

As reported by NW Digest, Senators Cantwell and Murray, along with Rep. Baird, are having a public get-together at the Cowlitz Expo Center on Thursday.

The weird thing is that they are trying to get union people to show up to counter-protest the healthcare protestors, but this event wasn't known about until today. It seems to me they are trying to set it up as a stealth meeting so that most people there will be pro-healthcare, just so they can say that our state's in favor of it.

If you can go, sign up, wear green, and have fun!

That Northwest Digest article quotes a Longview Daily News item about the event:
Cowlitz County Commissioner Axel Swanson said last week he was pleased all three lawmakers [Murray, Cantwell, and Baird] will gather to receive the report [about Mt. St. Helens Monument Status], noting it’s rare to have them all together in the area focusing on one issue … Swanson said Friday he didn’t believe public comment would be taken at Thursday’s event, but it is open to the public. The meeting is only scheduled for one hour, making a public comment session unlikely. Thursday’s meeting is at 2 p.m. in the Cowlitz County Expo and Conference Center, 1900 Seventh Ave., Longview.
That's the Cowlitz County Expo and Conference Center, 1900 Seventh Ave., Longview.

The article also quotes a pair of O-Bot emails (AFSCME and Organizing for America, His Imperial Majesty's personal Political Action Committee) ordering all the spontaneous grass roots types to arrive at noon for the two PM non-health care reform event...

UPDATE! Longview "stealth" meeting canceled. Reportedly, the city of Longview told the congresscritters that one and a half days was not enough to plan security.

Riiiiiight...
